Europa Editions in German

A secret agent pointed out to me that Deutschlandradio ran a feature on Europa Editions the other day, the publishers giving the lie to the idea that Americans won't read translations.

Here's my advice: download the programme (from Tuesday), put it on your music player, go out into the city and walk around admiring all the beautiful half-naked people out there today, listening to it all, including the droning review of Aravind Adiga's new book beforehand.

It's interesting to hear the German bemusement at the fact that the English-speaking world just doesn't publish many translations.
